1997 Silk Velvet Fall Leaves Slip Dress - As Seen On Bianca Lawson (The Parent ’Hood)

A gorgeous and rare piece of 90s television, seen on Bianca Lawson as Jasmine in The Parent ’Hood. This is the same brand, fabric, and distinctive fall-leaf print seen in Season 4, Episode 11, in an alternate V-neck, short-length version of the dress. Cut from lustrous 100% silk velvet, the fabric has a beautiful iridescent quality that shifts as it catches the light. The deep red velvet is scattered with autumn leaves in rich shades of red, burgundy, brown,  and green, creating the illusion of actual fallen leaves shimmering across the dress as you move. It is one of those prints that is almost impossible to fully capture in photographs, the velvet leaves come alive in motion. The overall effect is pure late-90s glamour: delicate, sultry, slightly gothic, and incredibly evocative of the era. Equal parts 90s baddie, vampire, and witch. The original brand is now defunct, and dresses from this collection are exceptionally difficult to find.
